Beverly Allen

Beverly Allen is a visual artist and a maker of marks on prints, textiles and books. Her work investigates images directly from plants, be they recognized as garden varieties or neglected weeds. She explores the colours immediately available from the plants around her by printing them with heat and water onto paper and textiles; she tracks geographical areas by the plant life there, always noting the differences in similar plants in different areas and seasons, giving a snapshot or map in time of the plant life in a particular area. Her art is slowly developed, paying attention to seasons, and local conditions that affect the plants and their colours.

 

Beth Rose 

Beth Rose is a designer, bookbinder and memory-keeper with a heart for documenting life and love through words and images. She combines her graphic design aesthetic and modern computer techniques with traditional bookbinding methods, letterpress printing and beautiful papers and fabrics from around the world to create books, journals, boxes and albums that are made meaningful when filled with words, photographs, art and memories.

 

B & B Garage Press

Together, we are B&B Garage Press. In the Garage (a bright, well lighted studio), we work with gelli plates, dye vats, paper and cloth, printing on paper to bind into books.
